Search tips
In the "geography" dropdown, you can choose either a state (to limit to that state) or a region within that state. Similarly, using the "taxonomy" dropdown, you can choose either a family or a genus within that family.
The common name search allows you to search all recorded common names for a species, not just the names that we consider to be valid. Similarly, using the species name search, you can also find historic names or alternate spellings of names.
